Once POP3 is enabled, email messages sent to Hotmail can be downloaded to Gmail Inbox or mailbox via POP3 access protocol. User no longer need to depend on hectic process to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mydigitallife.info\/2007\/11\/02\/how-to-transfer-and-move-hotmail-to-gmail\/\">transfer Hotmail to Gmail<\/a> anymore.     <br \/>Tip: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mydigitallife.info\/2009\/01\/22\/hack-to-enable-hotmail-pop3-and-smtp-support-instantly-for-all-countries\/\">Enable Hotmail POP3 support<\/a> before attempting to link it from Gmail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Set and Configure Gmail to Download Emails from Hotmail Account<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gmail.com\/\">Gmail<\/a> account. <\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Settings<\/strong> link on the top right corner.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"gmail-settings\" alt=\"Gmail Settings\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mydigitallife.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/gmail-settings.jpg\" width=\"238\" height=\"17\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Accounts<\/strong> tab.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"gmail-accounts\" alt=\"External Accounts in Gmail\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mydigitallife.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/gmail-accounts.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"42\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Add another mail account<\/strong> link under \u201cGet mail from other accounts\u201d section.\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the pop-up web page, enter the <strong>email address<\/strong> of the Hotmail account to get mail from, e.g. username@hotmail.com, and then click on <strong>Next Step<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<li>Configure the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mydigitallife.info\/2009\/01\/16\/hotmail-free-pop3-and-smtp-access-and-server-configuration-settings\/\">mail settings for the Hotmail<\/a> account with the following values:\n<p>Username: <strong>username@hotmail.com<\/strong> [full MSN or Windows Live ID Hotmail address in @msn.com, @live.com or @hotmail.com]         <br \/>Password: [enter Windows Live ID password used to sign in to Hotmail]         <br \/>POP Server: <strong>pop3.live.com<\/strong>         <br \/>Port: <strong>995<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tick the check box for <strong>Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail<\/strong> option. <\/li>\n<li>Other options that are optional, and can be configured are:\n<ul>\n<li>Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server. <\/li>\n<li>Label incoming messages with an identity (move to a folder). <\/li>\n<li>Archive incoming messages (Skip the Inbox). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Add Account<\/strong> button when done. <\/li>\n<li>Optionally, user may choose to use Gmail to send email from your other email addresses (as Hotmail).
